How Citalopram Works
This medication belongs to a group of medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. It works by restoring the balance of serotonin, which is a naturally occurring substance found in the brain, which helps to improve particular mood problems. Celexa is particularly used to deal with moderate to severe depression but may be prescribed for other disorders as well. The patient may start to feel better within a few weeks of treatment but the full effects may not be seen until after several weeks.

Generic Celexa vs Brand Celexa
When comparing a brand medication to its generic equivalent the only substantial difference is the manufacturer. The generic and brand Celexa both work in the same way. There is no alteration in the active ingredients or the desired effect of the medication. We currently have the brand that comes from Turkey and UK and the generic comes from India and UK. It may come from other countries around the world. Another significant difference is the massive savings between the brand Celexa and the generic Citalopram.

Citalopram Possible side effects
Unfortunately, almost every medication comes hand-in-hand with some sort of unwanted side effects. Some side effects are quite mild and some can be more severe. The following side effects are not experienced by everyone who takes Celexa or the generic Celxa.
• Nausea

• Dizziness
• Blurred vision

Contact your doctor as soon as possible if you experience any of the following more severe side effects:
