Cosopt is a combination medication that contains Dorzolamide and Timolol. Together they are used to treat increased pressure in the eye and glaucoma. Dorzolamide is an anti-glaucoma medication that was first designed by Merk. It also functions to lower increased eye pressure in patients with glaucoma. Timolol is manufactured in many forms but in ophthalmic form it is used to treat glaucoma by reducing the production of a thick watery substance produced in the eye.
