How Firmagon Works
Degarelix is the active medicinal ingredient found in Firmagon; it is hormonal therapy used to treat male patients with prostate cancer. Firmagon works by reducing the circulation of testosterone which is known to promote tumor growths in the prostate. Firmagon is to be administered by a health care professional as it is injected subcutaneously. Patients will be given a starting dose of 2 injections each 120mg which will quickly begin to hold back testosterone.
