How Finasteride Works
Finasteride 5mg is a drug primarily used in men who have and enlarged prostate and androgenic alopecia (hair loss). When treating an enlarged prostate, Finasteride helps improve urination, reduce the frequency of night urination, hesitation at the start of urination and increases urine flow. Your doctor may have prescribed Finasteride for male pattern hair loss. The drug works by lowering an enzyme in the body that converts testosterone into DHT. By preventing DHT levels to rise in the body, Finasteride stimulates hair growth and prevents further hair loss. It is important to take Finasteride exactly as prescribed.
