Tobradex
Information
Tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) is a form of antibiotic, which is used to treat certain types of bacterial infections. Dexamethasone is a type of steroid that will help to treat any swelling of the eye which has been associated with bacterial infection. Tobradex is available from Canada Drugs Online on prescription only and it is currently at pregnancy category C, which means that there may be a risk of the active ingredients within the medication causing harm to the unborn child. You should not use Tobradex if you are known to be allergic to any of the active ingredients used during manufactures, as this may cause a severe allergic reaction within your body. Tobradex is available in ointment (3.5 gm) and oral suspension (5 ml) forms.

Tobradex
Side Effects
There are no serious side effects which have been known to occur with the use of Tobradex. You may however encounter some slight burning, itching, tingling or sensitivity to light after you have used Tobradex on the eye that is affected. These are only very slight side effects, and therefore you should carry on using the medication, however if the side effects that you encounter persist or worsen then you should contact your doctor for further advice.
You should not use any other type of eye treatment or medication whilst using Tobradex, as this can result in serious side effects and even an overdose. It is also advised that if you are taking any other form of steroid oral medication that you inform your doctor of this. There may be other medications which interfere with Tobradex, and it is important that you inform your doctor of any other medications that you currently take, this includes all over the counter drugs and all other prescription medications.
