How Bortezomib Works
Bortezomib is a cancer-fighting medication used primarily in patients that have suffered a relapse; Bortezomib works by killing cancer cells in patients affected by cancers known as multiple myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow) and mantle cell lymphoma (non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas). For patients suffering from multiple myeloma, Bortezomib is used in those who have not previously been treated and who are not eligible for stem cell transplants. It is critical that Bortezomib be administered by a health care professional who is familiar with antineoplastic medications. Bortezomib is typically injected into a vein twice a week for 2 weeks followed by a 10 day rest time. The amount injected will be pre-determined by your doctor according to body weight and size. Bortezomib is to used exactly as prescribed.

Bortezomib Possible Side Effects
