How Lotilaner Works?
Credelio (Lotilaner) is a prescription medication that treats and prevents flea infestations and controls tick infestations such as the American dog tick, black-legged tick, and brown dog tick. Credelio is used for dogs and puppies eight weeks and older and over 4.4 pounds. Lotilaner belongs to the class of drugs called Isoxazoline. Lotilaner blocks the transfer of chloride ions across cell membranes, which causes uncontrolled neuromuscular activity and death. Credelio starts killing fleas within four hours in dogs and within six hours in cats. While Credelio is typically safe and efficient, it's essential to seek veterinary advice before administering it to your pet, particularly if they have pre-existing health conditions or are taking other medications.
Lotilaner Possible Side Effects
The common side effects of Credelio may include diarrhea, decreased appetite, elevated blood urea nitrogen (BUN), increased drinking or urinating, vomiting, and weight loss.
Contact your Vet immediately if you have any of the serious side effects of Credelio, such as:
• Difficulty walking;
• Incoordination;
• Seizures or tremors;

• Trouble breathing
Monitoring your pet for these side effects is essential, especially in the initial days after administration. If you notice any serious side effects, consult your veterinarian immediately.
Lotilaner Guidelines
