Savaysa (Edoxaban tablets) is a new prescription used to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in atrial fibrillation patients not related to heart valve problems. Savaysa is to be manufactured by Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd.
Savaysa is indicated for treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients who are previously treated with an anti-clotting drug by injection or infusion, for 5-10 days.
Some of the common side effects of Savaysa are bleeding and anemia. As like other anti-clotting drugs, iatrogenic bleeding is one of the serious adverse events of Savaysa.
